SPA

The name SPA comes from Latin "Sanus Per Aquam" which means "health through water." The idea of using the healing properties of water was propagated by the Romans, who soothed their senses and bodies in hot springs. In the 16th century, a town called Spa was built in Belgium to take advantage of the nearby healing springs. It was at that time that the SPA philosophy was developed.
